Decor I still love 9 years later

I’ve been thinking about sharing our wedding on the blog for awhile, and I figured our 9th anniversary would be the perfect time! I think this post is relevant for a home improvement blog for a couple of reasons. First, there are a lot of decor decisions that go into a wedding. I loved the process so much I was dying to be a wedding planner for a few years. Now I’m channeling that creative energy into our house instead. I’m still in love with the choices we made for our wedding 9 years later. I hope I can make choices like that in our home! Second, a few months back I shared a potential design for our master bedroom (which is a project that is basically on the backburner), and since then my mind has gone in a completely different direction for our bedroom. I saw this wall at a local restaurant Spoke and steel:

I’m obsessed with it. I think our master bedroom would be the perfect spot to put it in our house. The brick in the image got me thinking about our wedding venue and that white brick would look perfect with our wedding decor, so I’d love a wedding inspired master bedroom. Take a trip down memory lane with me and let me know what you think! I’ll keep the pictures mostly to decor since this blog isn’t about weddings 🙂

This really captures the mood of our reception decor. I love the mood lighting, colors, wood floors, and brick walls of the warehouse turned reception venue.

I actually wasn’t a big fan of the execution of my bouquets. However, the florist knocked this centerpiece out of the park. I couldn’t have been any happier with it. This was on the head table which was in the center of the room rather than the “head” of the room.

Double duty: table decor and favor (Christmas ornament)

Centerpieces on guest tables: Vase filled with ornaments or a candle in a vase (bought as one piece from z gallerie). I’m also a huge fan of table runners and lots of candles on the tables (even though I’ve had more than one incident with candles at weddings)

Loved our cake. I know a lot of people don’t care about the cake at their wedding, but I LOVE wedding cake designs. I still pin wedding cakes. We gave our cake vendor a picture of what we wanted and her execution was on point.

I like this really formal couch in the industrial building. I think the bed we bought a few months ago could give our room a similar vibe. My hair and make-up are a little worn at this point in the night 🙂

Other wedding pictures that I love and want to print and use in our home:

I hope you enjoyed our wedding photos! I loved planning a winter wedding. What do you think about a wedding inspired master bedroom?
