The Official Mudroom Reveal

If you remember, a few months ago we did a pseudo reveal of the mudroom when all of the construction was done. However, we’ve been putting finishing touches/decor in the room since then. We’ve also been USING the room. It is everything I thought it would be. We are more organized and the bookbag mess is out of our dining room dumping spot. Also, our guests now have a place to put their stuff. So here are some picture of the room all finished and in use. While I think this room might be nearly impossible to photograph, I did try to take these in better light. I hope you enjoy!

I’ll start you off with the locker side of the room:

The kids love their lockers!

During Christmas break we added some baskets on top. So far we are using one to hold hats/mittens and the other to hold some papers that we have to reference often (Daisy meeting schedule, etc). We also just added the cork in each kid locker. This is another place we can put things like birthday invitations or stuff that we need to remember for the week.

Now the Guest Area:

This area has been so amazing when we have people over. I use to hate when I would clean the house and by the time the second guest arrived there were shoes everywhere. Now everyone can put their shoes under the bench and hang their coats and purses or set them on the bench. We still aren’t sure how we will use the top shelf, but right now we have some outside toys in the green bin.

And now the desk area:

I’d like to put some photos in mattes to hang in this area when we aren’t displaying the kids’ artwork.

What is your favorite part? I can’t decide.

Stay tuned for some other little updates. Shortly after we started the blog we posted some things we were going to be working on . We’ve made a little bit of progress in some of these spaces, so I’ll share that soon!

  1. It’s so amazingly gorgeous! I just love everything about it. Not only beautiful to look at, but such a smart design too.

  2. It looks great…good job to both of you! My favorite are the kids lockers with them enjoying their own space ❤️

    1. Me too. And it is great that each person in the family has a locker. So much easier to find one’s own stuff without tossing everyone else’s about.

  3. Where did you find the black wire coat hooks? This whole space is amazing. I found it in the comments of a pottery barn Facebook post! I LOVE this! Wish I would’ve seen this BEFORE I started my remodel ?

  4. Thank you so much Tricia! The hooks are from CB2. We are really pleased with them and they were very reasonably priced. Thanks for checking out the room. I am glad you like it!!

  5. I know I just swooned over your Mudroom on my blog 🙂 but I wanted to leave a comment here for all to see….SIMPLY GORGEOUS! Your lockers, lights, and “command center” are perfect. I love all of the shots of your kids in their lockers too 🙂 Ours are about to burst full with all of these winter clothes stuffed in there…so glad for doors!

    1. Thank you so much! The kids in their lockers shot was in the very beginning stages of using these lockers. They are often a mess now 🙂 I have my husband to thank for all of this work. We worked together on all of the ideas, but he did ALL of the construction!
