Lake Houses of Indiana – roadside edition

Like I mentioned in the last lake house post, the lake we visit is surrounded by other lakes. We often walk around one of the lakes just down the road. Its the perfect walking distance (about 3 miles around), and there is lots of eye candy for somebody who loves to look at pretty houses. I got a few pictures on my walk over the July 4th weekend, but there is definitely more where this came from! I’m usually walking with a few adults and 5 kids, so I can’t take all of the pictures I want. Plus, I try not to look weird taking pictures  of people’s houses 🙂 I hope you enjoy the couple that I was able to catch this time!

There is so much to love about this! Let’s start with the black and white awnings. I also love the dormers, the blue color of the house, and the landscaping is “on point” as they say 🙂 It even comes complete with a white picket fence. Picturesque!

I usually claim this one as my favorite. I love the metal roof, the stamped concrete porch, and the color scheme. I always wonder what it looks like from the other side!

I love how they took pretty simple architecture and still made it lakey and charming with the awesome wood door, the thick window trim, the shaker shingles on the gable, and the landscaping details like the stone path to the door and the white picket fence.

I mean, I’d take it. I’d love to see what the inside looks like!

I love the round window and porch area. I also like that it has a long driveway for lots of visitors and keeping kids away from the road.

So what do you think? Which one is your favorite? Comment below!
